Nothing like waking up on a Saturday morning in VA to the sound of birds chirping and wind whistling through the trees as the sun peaks through to bring in a beautiful day in nature. Spent a little time on the front porch taking in this beautiful place and it’s surroundings while enjoying a little morning coffee with my folks.

Dad and I popped to it and started building a new floating frame for “WHY”, an original work of mine from Mr. Edmonson’s painting class at Longwood University in 1996. It’s hard to believe that almost twenty years have passed since creating this piece. I’ve decided to make it a permanent piece in one of the guest rooms at my parent’s home. It will be fun to re visit these memories every time I return home to VA!
