I made the drive up the Pacific Coast into beautiful Whistler, British Columbia in early July for the opening of “Circles and Shapes” at “The Gallery” at the Maury Young Arts Centre in Whistler on July 15, 2017. I was the featured “Guest Artist” and had all new works displayed along side ten other talented Artists from the Whistler area. I truly enjoyed the journey into B.C. for my very first exhibition in Canada.
“The Gallery” at Maury Young Arts Centre is Whistler’s community gallery, showcasing work from talented artists and artisans from the Sea to Sky region. Stop by and check out the latest art exhibit and take home something truly unique from the Gift Shop. “The Gallery” is located in the heart of Whistler village, across from the Olympic rings.
Each of the shows is celebrated with an opening event. See each new exhibit, mingle with friends, sip craft beer and cocktails, and listen to live music and artist talks. Make sure to follow “The Gallery” on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to hear about all of the upcoming events and openings.
Each piece on display at the Arts Centre is available for purchase, with the majority of the sale revenue going directly to the artist, and a portion going toward Whistler Arts Council programs. Every time you purchase something from the Arts Centre, you are helping to support Whistler’s local artists and artisans, and contributing to a vibrant and healthy arts scene in Whistler.
