As we welcome summer, we are happy to host Sarah Joncas in her first solo exhibition at Subtext Gallery. Joncas is a recent graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design, and she currently resides and works out of Toronto, Canada. In a few short years, she shown at galleries across the country and has made a name for herself with her very distinct style and mysterious character-driven pieces. Snake in the Grass is a noir inspired body of work reminiscent of the 1940s, filled by long shadows and melodramatic narratives.
