POP in to check out “We Love Creativity” & fellow artist, Mike Maxwell’s “BLOG” for the “EIGHTH PLY 2011″ group skate deck get down on 8.5.2011 at the Hard Rock Hotel and the “Emperors New Clothes” at JETT Gallery with NEKO, Adam, etc.  It was a great night with friends and exhibits all over Diego!! The “8 PLY Exhibit” is now off to take the stage at “MAGIC” Tradeshow in Las Vegas!!!

Just put the final touches on “HUMMING” and now getting ready to head on over to MIXTURE in the Little Italy area of San Diego, California for “ALL DAY ART”!!! There will be original artwork from over 40 local San Diego Artists. Live music from Todo Mundo from 2-5 pm, food, drinks, and much more!!! I will have 4 original paintings in the exhibit and look forward to seeing you and your friends there. Things are rollin’ and I have been super slammed over the last four weeks with still no time to come up for air but it’s gotta happen soon! I painted LIVE at “Art Around Adams” in Normal Heights 3 weeks ago and it was AWESOME!! The following weekend I painted LIVE and exhibited at The “BEATLES” Tribute Exhibit at the Oceanside Museum of Art along with the Discover SD  “Vandalized” Exhibit at the Viper room D-Town in Quality Social!

The “Red, White, and Black” Exhibit at Gallery AKA in San Diego was a BLAST and then I had 10 Paintings in the “Pancakes and Booze” traveling art Exhibit in Los Angeles two weekends ago for a 2 night event, man o man, two nights to remember. Finishing it off with the “POP Exhibit” with THUMBPRINT GALLERY at Industry Showroom last Friday night!!!  Now popping out two decks for the exhibit with “We LOVE Creativity”….  Pics from all these events will be coming up in “Photos” on the site soon!! Working on two decks for the “AGENDA” group exhibit with “We love Creativity” in Huntington Beach, Ca. for August 3 & 4, starting the “Beatles” piece for the exhibit at the Oceanside Museum of Art on June 17th, and just finished my piece titled, “Unwind” for the “Red,White, & Black” Exhibit at Gallery AKA on June 18th, check it out in the “Gallery”. Shuuuuuu weeeee, what a busy weekend in L.A. I popped in all over the place to check out exhibits and catch up with peeps. Rolled through the “Venice Arts Festival” to hang with Vincent Gordon and catch him painting LIVE then onto see Dave MacDowell’s Exhibit at THINKSPACE Gallery where I caught some of David Cooley’s work and was introduced to Jacub Gagnon’s pieces, freakin’ sweet!

Things have been super busy lately and it’s so great to squeeze moments in with all my peeps around the city!! Caught up with “BOOMBOX CHUCK” and the fellas at Frankie Agostino’s Exhibit Downtown last week, Hung with Eric Wixon at his opening and picked up my second piece from him, Chilled with Mark Jesinowski and Shay Davis at Shay’s movie opening in North Park, Exhibited and painted live with Art Kills Artists at THREAD, and rocked it at the House of Blues with my man “G” LOVE & Special Sauce when he was in town Friday night. Awwwwwww YEA!!  Currently working on 3 new paintings…… -Monty

I have three exhibits up right now in San Diego, Ca. and one on Melrose Ave. in Hollywood. I’ve been painting “LIVE” tons over the last few months. I will be painting “LIVE” and exhibiting works again on April 27, 2011 at VIN DE SYRAH in the Gaslamp on 5th ave. from 4:30 till 1:30am with a band and tattoo artist to be announced.  I am currently working on a commission for the “W” Hotel in San Diego and  4 new paintings as we speak and will have them popping up soon on the sites! I just finished “LUCKY” for the Exhibit tonight with Thumbprint Gallery after late last night finishing two hand painted cans for the Exhibit at Visual Art Supply Gallery on this Saturday.

Delivered paintings yesterday around San Diego and then all day today have been working on a piece that I will be painting “LIVE at the “W” Hotel on Thursday with Art Kills Artists for an NBC San Diego Party! What day is it? Who cares. Back to work! -monty

I rolled to L.A. again this past weekend to hit the Exhibit at Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City which featured the paintings of Kelly Vivanco and Anthony Clarkson, man was it AWESOME!! I caught up with my pal, artist, Kami Lerner in L.A. as well and it was a heck of a weekend! Nothing like great art and super cool peeps!! Ahhhh YEA!
